Question about an entire bakery of rotting food...?
I had this question in my head for years and I was wondering what people think. Let's say there is a bakery full of cheesecakes, cookies, bread, ect. There is a natural disater and everyone either leaves or dies or are otherwise absent, but the baked good remain intact without any damage due to whatever caused the people to vanish. Everything is in glass cases, so no large insects or animals can get to them. How long do you think it would take before all the food rots so there is none left, or perhaps just a very small bit of dust? It is not like Pempeii or other situations where it is in an airtight environment. Do you think it would take weeks? months? A few years? decades? centeries? The cases are not refrigerated, but the temperature is warm (71 degrees F)
